IVC Singer Sessions: a masterclass week for young professionals

The International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch announces the Singer Sessions, a masterclass week for young professionals who want to take the next step in their careers. Participants take part in private coachings, group sessions, public masterclasses, movement and body work, mentorship, and a closing concert - part of the IVC's new Song in the City series.

Each singer receives a daily individual session with every teacher, is chosen for at least one public evening masterclass, and performs in the closing concert. All selections are made by General and Artistic Director Andrew Watts in collaboration with the guest teachers. The 2025 edition brought together coaches including pianist Iain Burnside, soprano Rosemary Joshua and pedagogue Margreet Honig, with a public masterclass for semi-professionals led by Andrew Watts.

The Singer Sessions grow into the IVC's yearly masterclass week - a week of learning for conservatory students and recently graduated vocal artists. The next edition will be announced in the autumn of 2026; sign up for the IVC newsletter to be the first to hear the details.
