Each competition week relies on a team of volunteers who keep the venues running, welcome international singers, and host audiences from across the Netherlands. We are always looking for new faces, whether you can give a single shift or the full week.
Roles include ushering and ticket-scanning at performances, stage-door support and dressing-room coordination, registration desk for singers and jury, drivers for airport pickups and venue transfers, and a hospitality team that keeps the green room running. We match volunteers to roles based on availability and language.
Most shifts run four to six hours. The full competition week runs 2-10 October 2026, with additional Theatre in Song dates in June. We welcome anyone who can commit to one shift or more - there is no minimum.
A volunteer briefing pack, a meal during each shift, a complimentary ticket to one performance per shift worked, and a closing-week reception. Travel within 's-Hertogenbosch is reimbursed; out-of-town volunteers can be matched with a host.
