Thanks to the IVC, 's-Hertogenbosch has become known as a city where young singers develop their careers. Without the support of our dedicated Friends, many of those careers might never have taken off. As a Friend you help young talent take the next step while enjoying the festive, inspiring spirit of the competition.
The Friends of the IVC Foundation was established in 2008. Friends play a vital role: their donations fund the annual IVC Friends Prize and help launch new initiatives. The board is chaired by Jef Oomen, with Guus Breijder as treasurer alongside Jos Crusio, Annelies Hermens and Hans Pernet.

It is impossible to run a successful competition without host families. The IVC needs around 70 beds for participants, and singers experience a stay with a host family as a warm embrace during demanding, nerve-racking days. If you live in or within 15 km of 's-Hertogenbosch, you can welcome a singer into your home.

We have welcomed competition participants into our home for thirty years now. We often just hand them the key and show them where the fridge is, and they really appreciate that freedom. The presence of guests feels a little like a holiday at home; it breaks the daily routine, and it is wonderful.
