Competition 2025

In 2025, the IVC launches ‘Theatre in Song’, transforming its LiedDuo Competition to make classical song more engaging and accessible. This initiative encourages creativity, diverse collaborations, and interdisciplinary productions blending music with art forms like spoken word, visual arts, resulting in portable 40–45-minute performances rooted in tradition and/or new compositions.

In 2025 the IVC will launch its new competition entitled ‘Theatre in Song’. The format of this competition is different from previous competitions and will inspire artists to engage audiences more with song and music.
The International Vocal Competition (IVC) 2025 Edition competition is titled Theatre in Song and replaces the former IVC LiedDuo competition.
