Taking classical music out of its comfort zone

In 2025 the IVC presents four evenings of song in unusual places throughout the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Song in the City uses the power of song to connect people in all parts of our society. Our work uses the talents of singers from the IVC to respond to the world around us, whilst challenging our artists and audiences in creative ways.

These events will showcase the very best singers from the IVC together with pianists, accompanists, instrumental ensembles, and other artists in unusual spaces in the city.

These programmes will be curated to inspire and energise the audience and to fully immerse the listener into the world of song.
